Are the rides affected by wind and rain?

Paultons Park is an outdoor attraction and the vast majority of the rides are outside.
Some rides and attractions are affected by the weather and may close during extreme weather conditions such as high winds, very heavy rain or thunder and lightning.

Heavy Rain

During periods of heavy rain some rides may be suspended.

High Winds

The following rides and attractions will close during periods of high winds:
Note the garden areas will be closed during high winds also.

30 mph

  • The Cobra

32 mph

  • Flight of the Pterosaur
  • Velociraptor
  • Windy Castle
  • The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride
  • Magma
  • Temple Heights
  • Edge
  • Windmill Towers
  • Cyclonator
  • Storm Chaser
  • Farmyard Flyer (Opens 1st April 2022)

40 mph

  • Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride
  • Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight
  • Raging River Ride
  • Sky Swinger

50 mph

  • Pirate Ship
  • Buffalo Falls (this ride could close at a lower wind speed based on the wind direction)

The safety of our guests is our number one priority – please be assured that we are constantly monitoring wind conditions and will reopen rides when it is safe to do so.

Guests are able to change their visit date for a £20 fee.
