2024 will be a very special year, marking 20 years since Peppa Pig first appeared on our screens!
Can you believe it’s been a whole 20 years since Peppa Pig made her TV debut?
This means that a whole generation of children across 180 countries have grown up watching Peppa jump in muddy puddles, learn new skills at playgroup and enjoy lots of exciting adventures with her family and friends.
To mark this exciting occasion, the makers of Peppa Pig have a very special surprise up their sleeve. Read on to find out!

Peppa Pig first appeared on our screens way back on the 31st May 2004.
What is happening to mark Peppa Pig’s 20th anniversary?
A special 20th anniversary bumper three-part episode of Peppa Pig will air in 2024. In the episode, we’ll see Mr Bull and Mrs Cow get married…the first time a wedding has ever occurred on the show!
But that’s not all….
As well as an exciting three-part special, we’re also going to meet two brand new characters! And you *might* just find their voices familiar.
Who are the new characters?
Drum roll please…
Ms Leopard
The first new character is Ms Leopard, voiced by global superstar and huge Peppa Pig fan Katy Perry. In the three-part special, Ms Leopard – a dress maker – will make Mrs Cow a beautiful wedding dress. (Wonder if she’ll join Madame Gazelle and her band the Rocking Gazelles for a few songs at the wedding reception?)
Mr Raccoon
The second new character is Mr Raccoon, voiced by Pirates of the Caribbean star, Orlando Bloom. Mr Raccoon works in a jewellery shop and we will see him help Mr Bull and Mrs Cow choose wedding rings for the big day.
When can we watch the Peppa Pig 20th anniversary special?
The exact date of the three-part special is unknown at present, but we’ll be keeping an ear VERY close to the ground over the next few months! It will most likely be aired in late Spring to coincide with the official anniversary date of 31st May. Watch this space for more details!
Celebrate 20 years of Peppa Pig with a trip to Paultons Park
